Internal Audit Specialist

Job Description:
  • Performs audit operations and identifies risks and areas for improvement.
  • Assess and evaluates existing internal control through testing and interviewing methodologies.
  • Ensures that measurements and calculations of quantities are in accordance with the prescribe standards and conform to applicable specifications.
  • Reviews and conducts thorough checking of contractor’s billings.
  • Reviews department’s established policies and procedures.
  • Identifies non-compliance and recommends corrective actions.
  • Witness the conduct of mid-year, year-end inventories and asset/scrap sale/disposal in different project sites and offices.
  • Conducts spot inventory counts.
  • Conducts review and count of petty cash funds, revolving funds, and provisionary and official receipts at different project sites on a monthly basis.
  • Prepares documented audit findings and submits audit report in timely manner.
  • Discuss audit findings to the division/department head or employee being audited, to gather their comments, acceptance, commitment, and action plan.
  • Perform other duties assigned from time to time.
Job Qualification:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Licensed Civil Engineer is preferred but not required.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in conducting internal audit engagements gained from real estate, property development, and/or engineering and construction industry.
  • Has strong work ethics and values, trustworthy and with high level of professionalism and personal integrity.
  • Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills, and highly capable of combining technical skills with process and financial insights.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willing to work in Imus, Cavite.
